New machines from Kaltenbach

Kaltenbach Ltd, the UK division of the German multi-national sawing, drilling and associated technologies group will be demonstrating a number of new machines and processes for the first time at Mach 2008.

contour markingIntelligent Blade Control (IBC) is a Behringer fully integrated blade management and control system that influences cut accuracy, blade life and overall cycle times of straight cutting bandsaws. A multi-functional, fully integrated single option, it enables automatic setting of cut accuracy levels, according to customer demand. Manual override is also readily achieved.

KBS750DG/KDS615 sawing/multi-axis drilling, close-coupled system will be demonstrated, with the latest, unique to Kaltenbach, ‘solid-carbide’ drills. Solid-carbide cuts 5 x faster than HSS and 3 x faster than TCT and enables re sharpening; achieving greatly reduced cost-per-cut. Also, included is the new ‘Contour Marking’, pneumatically driven system, for inscribing profiles for fitting, or processing, or alpha/numeric details onto structural steel materials.

HBM440 ALU; the world’s fastest bandsaw for automatic straight cutting of non-ferrous materials. Also demonstrated will be a mix of Behringer straight and mitre cutting bandsaws.

KPS506 Punch and Shear Line; for fast efficient strip-fed plate processing, plus drilling and plasma options.

Rotator; a handling system to ease the handling, welding and processing etc of fabricated structural materials; from the Swiss company Stierli Bierger.

Circular blade, precision saws; Kaltenbach’s market leading KKS and SKL upstroking saws for ferrous and ferrous metals will be demonstrated.
